Getting Here and Getting Around

By car 

North Oxfordshire is a 90 minute drive from London and 60 minutes from Birmingham via the M40, Junctions 9 (Bicester) and 11 (Banbury). Banbury town centre is less than  2 miles from Junction 11 and Bicester town centre is within 2 miles of Junction 9.  Other major routes into the area from destinations within an hour's drive are the A361 (Cotswolds), A422 (Stratford-upon-Avon), A4260 (Oxford), B4100 (Warwick/Leamington Spa), A421 (Milton Keynes), A43 (Northampton). By canal 

The Oxford Canal travels through North Oxfordshire, connecting Rugby and Oxford. Permanent and short term moorings are provided at various points along the Canal with Banbury, Cropredy and Kidlington being popular locations. By air 

Birmingham Airport is within an hour's drive and all major London airports can be reached within 2 hours. Regular coach and bus services run from both Banbury and Bicester to London and Birmingham airports (every 2-21/2 hours). www.nationalexpress.com 

By rail 

Banbury mainline station is served by regular Virgin Trains, Chiltern Railways, and  First Great Western connecting to London, Birmingham and other major destinations. Bicester North mainline station is served by Chiltern Railways. Stations are also located at Islip, Lower Heyford, Kings Sutton and Bicester town.
