PRODRIVE HERITAGE CENTRE, TOURS AND SHOP
Prodrive’s unique collection of race, rally and road cars at its headquarters in Banbury is open to the public to help raise funds for the local hospital, The Horton.
The collection of 12 cars from Prodrive’s 25 year history range from Subaru Impreza World Rally Cars driven to victory by former World Rally Champions, Colin McRae and Richard Burns, to the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours class-winning Ferrari 550 GTS Maranello. There are also touring cars, including James Thompson’s 1998 Honda Accord and Alain Menu’s BTCC-winning Ford Mondeo.
Prodrive’s road car achievements are not forgotten as the P1, the limited edition Subaru Impreza enhanced by Prodrive, one of only 1000 produced can be found on display. Also part of the collection is the Prodrive P2, the two-seater sports car conceived, designed and built by Prodrive in nine months, the only model in existence.
From time-to-time current project cars such as the 2010 group N Impreza used by Prodrive’s customers will be in the heritage centre, as well as the Aston Martin LMP1 that is currently being used by the Aston Martin Racing team in the 2010 Le Mans Series and American Le Mans Series.
While visiting the heritage centre, visitors can also have a look around Prodrive’s shop, where unique items of memorabilia, Prodrive performance products and a range of merchandise items can be purchased, all at special guest prices.
If visitors want to find out more and get behind the scenes of Prodrive they can also have a tour which covers every part of Prodrive’s operation, and gives a unique insight to the workings of the business.
