SCULPTURE
As a figurative sculptor, I use three-dimensional representations of the human form as well as bas-relief to express my ideas and concerns. My work attempts to meld material with meaning, to continue a traditional engagement with narrative, and to make accessible some revelations about the human condition.

My work has evolved from an early fascination with line and form, embodied in my potter's wheel-thrown functional cylinders, vases and bowls, which I altered into more sculptural shapes. These abstract forms were clearly reminiscent of the human figure. My work today is abstract figurative and most pieces are made in editions of 5 or 15. Most are cold cast in resin containing iron or marble. Sizes range from 37 to 197 cm tall and prices range from £85 (editions) to £4500 for a one off sculpture.
