CERAMICS & STITCHED TEXTILES

My ceramic work consists mainly of female figures, most of which are raku fired. Some are slender and under stated whilst others depict mothers with babies or children. The fact that each is handbuilt, combined with the unknown outcomes brought about by the firing process, means that no two pieces are exactly the same.
The texile wall pieces are mainly machine embridered often incorpoarting hand dyed material, handmade felt and silk paper and embellished with beads and hand stitching. On occasions, where it is appropriate, pieces of ceramic work are combined with embroidery.
